I am happy to announce that I will be returning to the Fall Annapolis Sailboat Show to be part of 59º North’s two-day Offshore Sailing Workshop. After three years of staying away from crowds and seminar rooms due to the pandemic, I’m excited to be returning to in-person events. And this year will be different from past years when I was an instructor at Cruisers University.
I was so pleased to be invited to work together with Andy Schell, Mia and their knowledgeable crew at 59º North for their new workshop entitled: SEAMANSHIP FOR OFFSHORE SAILING – OCTOBER 12 and 13, 2022. If you want a very educational two days of intensive workshop knowledge, come and join me, Andy Schell and the rest of the crew.
Coming up quickly, it will be Wednesday and Thursday of the boat show week – which is already next week! There is still enough time to sign up, but better hurry as there is a limit to the number of attendees. The price of the two-day workshop is $500 and it includes a free boat show ticket.
The Offshore Sailing Workshop will teach you how to THINK like a sailor. We’ll cover all aspects of ocean sailing from boat prep & gear selection to weather routing & strategy. Led by professional skippers Andy Schell & Nikki Henderson and the rest of the 59º North team, you’ll learn seamanship essentials, taught by the best in the business. This two-day seminar is appropriate for a range of experiences, from newcomers to salty circumnavigators.
When: Wednesday & Thursday, October 12-13, 2022, 9am-3pm
Where: Rams Head On Stage, West Street, Annapolis (10 min walk from the show)
Included: A free boat show ticket, lunch both days, coffee & tea plus free recordings afterwards of the workshop.
I do believe, as a woman, that this Seamanship class is as important for women as it is for men!!! That’s Pam Wall thinking, as I truly believe that a female crew is as important, and should be just as educated, as a male aboard any kind of boat…… Thank goodness my husband, Andy, gave me the great knowledge to sail our boat together as mutual Captains with all the responsibility of sailing, navigating, and being a Co-Captain!!!
Let me know if you have any questions about the event, and I hope to see you there!
-Pam
