I am so excited to be able to fly to Chicago and be the guest speaker at Chicago Yacht Club where I was, literally, brought up every summer! My Father, Joe Krueger, was an avid sailor on Lake Michigan and he always had one of his race boats on a mooring in Monroe Street Harbor right off the Chicago Yacht Club.
All summer I was at the Chicago Yacht Club, racing with my Father, going out sailing with my sisters and our parents, and always having a great time with Roger and Herb Eldean, the young handsome tender drivers in Monroe Street Harbor.
Tomorrow I will be able to walk down memory lane. Imagine how excited I am to enjoy Chicago Yacht Club and be the guest speaker at their annual Cruising Sail Fleet opening dinner!
I hope I can meet some old friends, make some new friends, and have the Club members aboard as we sail around the world! I am a very lucky little girl who grew up sailing as the young daughter of a Chicago Yacht Club member and am now returning, after so many years, to share what was started on the shores of Lake Michigan!
Thank you, Chicago Yacht Club for giving me this wonderful opportunity! See the invitation below!
